I overheard voices commenting that there was "maybe" a baby bird on our fence the other day. I went to investigate and saw that it was indeed a baby robin. Not only that, but the parent was nearby. I grabbed my camera but wasn't at all happy trying to snap photos through the window so I watched for a bit while I waited for the perfect opportunity to sneak out without scaring them off. It wasn't hard once I realized that the parent robin was disappearing for seconds at a time into one of my strawberry gardens. At first that made me grumble but I really wanted to see the outcome so I figured I'd let it pass just this once. Once the parent had jumped down into the depth of all that is strawberry, I quickly slid out the door and found a spot to ready my shooting stance. I didn't have to wait long and I got quite a show. That, and I finally have proof of who has been stealing my strawberries. It's ok... I can share. :)
